Allergy Testing Methods Explained:

The actual test is done with a machine that is electro-magnetic. It uses a small probe to pick up energies from an acupuncture point on the hand or finger, and then compares that energy with a sample of the food or allergen being tested for. A reading is given by the machine, and the strength of that reading determines whether there is an intolerance or allergy to that particular sample.  In the case of testing using a hair sample, (which is ideal for people who cannot physically be present for testing) the machine has a special compartment to hold the hair strands while the testing is being done. Jan has over 290 samples to test against.

Not many allergists test against so many samples, which is why Jan has had such great success in pin-pointing problems.

Some of these samples are grouped together, so several similar types are in the same sample. The shellfish sample consists of 5 different shellfish, the mould samples are grouped together in bunches of 5-10, and so on. You can add to any of these by asking for a specific fruit or vegetable or spice that is not on the list. Medications can be tested also if you bring or send in a sample.

After the test is done you will receive a sheet with any allergic reactions marked, from 'just starting' to 'present' to 'severe'. Jan will then take you through the steps to eliminating the causes of the allergic reactions.

Jan will give out and explain a customised food replacement sheet which will help you find other foods to replace the ones that are causing allergies. Jan will also provide you with information on any homeopathic remedies you may need. These remedies will help you build up a tolerance to problem items that may be harder to avoid, such as airborne particles or fumes.

Jan will also give you information on replacing or finding alternatives to soaps and other products which may be a problem, and information on natural medications useful in building up the immune system, blood cleansing, antioxidising, reducing stress and the like. You will get a sheet on Eczema, Irritable Bowel and Candida if you are suffering from one of these.

What is Candida? Do I have it? Click here to find out.

What is Irritable Bowel? Click here to find out.

Jan will map out a full program for what you need to do, explain any further testing needed, follow you up with another test and keep an eye on your progress, making changes as needed. Once you have recovered from the problem she will give you further advice and information to keep the problem from returning.
